School-Year Opportunities for High School Students
There are many opportunities around the Boston area that you can participate in during the school year. From academic classes, to college advising, to drama and filmmaking, there are lots of ways to stay busy outside of school.
- First, of course, there are lots of different clubs right here at Chelsea High School. You can find a partial list of these programs here. You should also keep your eyes and ears open for more information about meetings.
- There are also tons of things to do at local Chelsea organizations like ROCA, the Boys and Girls Club, and the YMCA.

- Weatherize your home or apartment -- You can cut your heating and cooling expenses and reduce the burning of fossil fuels. Use weatherstripping to seal drafts around windows and doors. If a draft comes through electrical outlets or switches on outside walls, install foam draft blockers behind the cover plates. Use covers (inside or outside) on air conditioners during cold months. And make sure your home has adequate insulation. You can check the insulation yourself or have it done as part of an energy audit, provided by many utility companies.
