Performance Art
Chelsea High School offers students a variety of opportunities to become involved in the performing arts. Besides the listed elective courses, there are many extra curricular activities that help students utilize and expand their talents. These opportunities include Jazz Band, Drama Club, the All School Musical and select ensembles. Chelsea High School also maintains affiliations with several professional arts organizations including the Boston Symphony, Wang Center, Emerson and Huntington Theaters, North Shore Theater, Shakespeare & Co. and Berklee College. Co-curricular activities as well as field trips are often arranged through these organizations.
All of our programs benefit both the student who has a casual interest in music, drama and dance as well as the more serious student who may wish to pursue a career in the performing arts. In accordance with our school's Mission Statement, our faculty is deeply committed to enabling each student in fulfilling his or her full potential. We hope you will take advantage of these opportunities and become well-rounded students who participate in and appreciate the values that the performing arts help foster.
