Mission Statement
Chelsea High School is a cooperative community where students and educators strive for academic excellence within a safe, structured, and supportive environment. We value diversity, foster responsible behavior, and teach the academic and social skills that will empower students to realize their potential and to become lifelong learners.
Academic Expectations across the curriculum
The faculty of CHS is committed to helping:
- Students develop effective listening skills;
- Students read, comprehend, and analyze written information;
- Students express ideas clearly and coherently in oral and written form;
- Students develop skills in problem solving, decision-making, and independent thinking;
- Students develop study and research skills;
- Students access and utilize current technology.
Civic Expectations
The faculty of CHS is committed to helping:
- Students demonstrate an awareness of their individual rights and responsibilities as contributing members of the community;
- Students exhibit school pride through positive attitudes, respect for others, and participation in school life.
Social Expectations
The faculty of CHS is committed to helping:
- Students treat peers, teachers, and other members of the community with courtesy, fairness, and acceptance;
- Students exhibit exemplary behavior through cooperation, self-control, and self-respect.
